What a great couple of weeks we have had down here at the bar. Father’s day was packed out with families all celebrating father’s day in a great atmosphere.

A whole range of people are coming to the bar and taking advantage of very cheap drinks promotions. We are also running 25% discounts for all season ticket holders of local sports clubs I.E Bradford City and Bradford Bulls but, the discount cannot be in conjunction with drinks promotions already in place.

We have added 2 new lines to our already huge selection and here are some of the drinks promotion prices:

These prices remain the same price all day and all night. We will not raise the price after a certain time in the day or night.

Our bar seems to be getting busier each and every day and we also have many events planned and also great news to share.

Ex Bradford City player now Harrogate Town player, Danny Forrest popped into the bar during the week to come have a look around and in his own words “ I love it!” and he has kindly donated some items for us to showcase in our display cabinets.

Last Thursday saw the multi-talented Jacob Crawshaw perform live singing various songs and keeping everyone entertained.

The night was superb and all who attended said they would come back to listen to Jacob again. Thank you Jacob we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the gig and thank you to Jacob’s friend and helper Mathew Maude and we are looking forward to seeing you again on July 13^th from 6pm.

Here in Bradford we have many sports teams but, did you know about Bradford City’s Women’s Club?

 

 Well if not you can visit their website here:  Bradford City Women's Football Club Great news is, that the women’s team have just been promoted back to the Northern Women's Premier League and will now be showcasing their trophy’s etc. in our bar as they have agreed to come on board with us.

 

Do you or have you been to the Village on Sackville street?

 

 The venue has had a takeover and a whole new refurbishment inside with brand new lighting and sound equipment which is state of the art for that extra night clubbing experience.

 

 

 There are drinks promotions all night long and, doors open at Midnight till 6am on a Friday and Saturday. Strict but fair door policy with  friendly staff on hand to make your clubbing experience a great experience, Why not head up to the Village after visiting us for a few drinks?

Please do not forget that July 13^th see’s our very own Q&A night with Bradford City legend Wayne Jacobs.

 

This event is to raise the profile and awareness for Wayne’s charity, One In A Million further details on the charity can be found here and also on the night, the amazingly talented Jacob Crawshaw will be performing from 6pm to get you all in the mood and warmed up for what is going to be such a great night for such a great cause. Wayne’s Q&A will be from 8pm and this will be a huge night and we urge you to come down early to avoid disappointment.

 Entry Fee - £0, nothing, free, zero. This isn't a money making event - It's about seeing old friends and listening to some great music.

 Music - All the classic Lingards and Dukes & Silks anthems.  Djs - Some bloke called Scott Page and a couple of guest DJs to be announced.

 

 Freebies - Loads of free mix cds to be given up to and on the night - Bottles of champers being given away to large groups and special friends.

Welcome to the Official Blog for Arena Sports Bar in Bradford.

What a month we have had here in the bar since opening on Thursday 2^nd May. Firstly, Congratulations to Bradford City on winning promotion to league 1 which was witnessed here in the bar LIVE in front of a packed house. The atmosphere was brilliant and a great day was had by all customers young and old.

 

 

 We were featured in the Telegraph and Argus showing the fans having a great time here in Bradford’s dedicated sports bar. you can read the article here Telegraph And Argus

 

More live sport was shown when the Super League was held at Manchester City’s football ground, The Etihad Stadium where all 14 teams played over 2 days. Unfortunately the Bradford Bulls lost but you win some, you lose some.

We are currently offering a 25% discount to both Bradford City and Bradford Bulls season ticket holders upon production of their season ticket. The discount cannot be used on any promotions already in operation, just normal prices.

On the event front, a very special event went ahead and saw one of the best ever DJ’s mixing it up on the decks for the first time back in Bradford for a while.

We had none other than the world renowned DJ Scott Page! The night was a complete success and the venue was packed out full of Scott’s fans. And on the back of this hugely successful night  Scott has agreed to come back and DJ again on the 2^nd and 3^rd of August 2013 so get that in your diary’s and join us for yet another great night!

 

Promotion CD’s of Scott’s mixes will be available very soon so, if you want your own copy come on down to the bar.

Amongst all the sports related things which are happening we were very pleased to have been the venue of choice for supermarket giant ASDA. Our venue was used for an ASDA party and was that much of a great night, they have agreed to hold all future party’s here at Arena Sports Bar.

 

 Also present at the party were the promotional girls from Luxardo promoting the Sambuca drink. More promotional events will be held and further details are to follow in the very near future.

Jacob Crawshaw Thursday 20^th June 2013 from 8pm

 

We are very pleased to announce that huge talent Jacob Crawshaw is coming to Arena to play a Live Acoustic set...

 He will be performing hits by Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, The Killers and many more! Cheapest bar prices around, free entry and great music.  Start time is 8pm but get down early as this is poised to be a huge night.

Wayne Jacobs Saturday 13^th July 2013 8pm-10pm
 

 

One of the true all time Bradford City legends... Wayne Jacobs, hosts a night at Arena in aid of his charity One In A Million!! ONE IN A MILLION is a Bradford-based charity that works in partnership with Bradford City FC to help children and young people, many of whom are from disadvantaged backgrounds.  One in a Million provides education in and out of school through our Sports, Arts and Enterprise programmes.

One In a Million

  On the night Wayne will do a question and answer session for all you Bantams, but even if you’re not a City fan it’s all for a great cause so come down and enjoy the night in our relaxed environment !! This is a FREE ENTRY event and children are of course welcome.

 

 We are making a donation to the One In A Million charity ourselves, and there will be charity buckets collecting throughout the night.

 BCB Radio will be recording on the night and then will be broadcasting it on their sports show.

Introduction to Arena Sports Bar Bradford

Welcome to the Official blog of Arena Sports Bar Bradford.

We first opened on Thursday 2^nd of May 2013 and have gone from strength to strength.

Co-owned by Derek Greenaway and Dominic Quirk, Arena Sports Bar is in the heart of the city centre.

 The bar is in the old Yates’s building near foot locker and has under gone a full revamp from top to bottom and took 6 weeks for the transformation.  The building was dark and dingy and had been stood empty for 7 years but, is now bright, clean and vibrant with a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We have disabled access, disabled facilities and also children friendly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our address is 9-19 Queensgate, Bradford, West Yorkshire, BD1 1RB and is the only dedicated sports bar of its kind.  We are the ONLY bar in Yorkshire with 3 Sky boxes. Therefore, can show multitude of sports at the same time on 80" & various 50" plasma TV's. As well as the various screens we also have a pool table and various gaming machines. WIFI is available along with newspapers.

 

 

There are  3 sections dedicated to sports teams in Bradford namely, Bradford City, Bradford Park Avenue and also the Bradford Bulls. We show all types of sports so if your sport isn’t on one of the screens ask one of the bar staff.

 

 

Group bookings are very much welcome and is easy to book! Just call into the bar or alternatively call (01274) 309090.

Whilst sat in comfort and watching sports, prices of drinks are very reasonable and we offer drinks promotions daily. Our opening times are 10am-11pm Sun-Wed and 10am-1am Thurs-Sat.
